Choreetzo and broccoli

and two boiled eggs, from River Cottage Every Day. Nice, and also quick and easy. And accompanied by a naan bread from the 4-naans-for-a-quid place in Fir Vale, where they make them to order while you wait. Very good indeed. Makes you wonder why you ever bother cooking big complicated meals.
(At the other end of the spectrum, yesterday's dessert was Delia's treacle sponge, which cooks for 2 hours. Worth it though, with Ambrosia tinned custard and about 9 pints of booze.)
The photo is the current state of my living room, where I've been pulling down wood panelling to discover an array of nasty surprises such as the big chunk of plaster missing from the chimney breast. The wood you see here isn't wood. It's wallpaper. Uncanny.
