Orange soup

Or EE soup as it's probably called now. It's not even orange flavour. It's sweet potato and coconut milk soup, from Nigel Slater's Kitchen Diaries 2. I like to cook from Nigel Slater's recipes because he gives the impression that he's like me, wandering round the house on his own pretending to cook for more than just himself and ending up with a freezerful of unmarked leftovers. Except being the rich famous chef he is, he can afford to keep buying more freezers as they fill up, and probably has a tunnel network below his house to rival Williamson's, with bank upon bank of humming chest freezers giving it an air of some kind of gourmet Natanz.
Making sweet potato and coconut soup has the exciting advantage that you get to hit a coconut with a hammer.
It also tastes nice.
There was no booze with tea today. Or yesterday. How am I supposed to write about tea without booze?

Though boozeless hunger pangs are cruel
You can try to silence them with gruel
That's made from tropical vegematter
(When you eventually get the coconut to shatter)
The sweet potatoes make it orange
There's not a word that rhymes with orange.
