Veal escalope and risotto
Aesculapius was the Greek/Roman God of medicine. This is his main claim to fame. However, he has two lesser-known, but to my mind equally important strings to his bow. First, frustrated by the excessive thickness of mainstream meats, he invented the platyviand, a device for flattening pieces of pork, chicken or veal into delicious breadable shapes. Secondly, Aesculapius was known for being a playa, often seen turning up to aftershows in the 60s in a blacked-out Wagoneer. GM, with an eye to getting a high-profile customer on board, decided to create my favourite outlandish SUV and name it in his honour. It was a wild success. According to some accounts, even the Good Lord drives one, and with prices starting at $63,170, who can blame him? That's some serious value right there. Get your freak on.
